Liverpool Blow As Suarez Admits He’d Consider Bayern Munich Move
Luis Suarez has cast doubt over his future at Anfield after revealing he would want to discuss a move to Bayern Munich if the Germans came calling in the summer
Despite the transfer window now being closed there will still be plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers, so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Luis Suarez casts doubt over his Liverpool future.
Luis Suarez has cast doubt over his future at Anfield after revealing he would want to discuss a potential move to Bayern Munich if the German giants came calling in the summer, according to the Metro.
The report claims that Suarez has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern at the end of the season with manager-in-waiting Pep Guardiola said to want the Uruguayan hitman to lead his new-look side next season.
Suarez’s agent is none other than Pere Guardiola, Pep’s brother, and the Metro suggest the former Barcelona coach could use this relationship to manipulate a transfer and lure the 26-year-old striker to the Allianz Arena, and the Liverpool frontman has now fuelled the speculation further by admitting he would be willing to discuss a potential move should Bayern submit an official offer:
‘If Bayern Munich makes an offer I would certainly be willing to listen and think about it,’
‘It doesn’t mean I will definitely leave, it just means that I will not automatically reject other clubs.’ Suarez is quted as saying by the Metro
Suarez has been in superb form this season and is enjoying his most productive campaign since moving to Anfield from Ajax in 2011, scoring 26 goals in just 38 games in all competitions so far.
However, Brendan Rodgers men are well off the pace in their quest to secure Champions League football next season and currently sit eight in the Premier League table – a full 10 points off fourth-placed Chelsea – so you wouldn’t blame Suarez if he wanted to explore his options this summer.
