Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was involved in another controversial incident on Tuesday night after being caught on camera throwing a punch at defender Gonzalo Jara during Uruguay’s 2-0 defeat to Chile in their World Cup Qualifying clash.
In the video below, Suarez can be seen throwing a cheeky jab in Jara’s face as the pair jostled as Uruguay prepared to take a corner kick. The Liverpool man got away with it as the defender didn’t make the most of the incident and match officials failed to spot it, but Uruguay were beaten 2-0 in the end leaving their hopes of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in the balance.
