FIFA Agent: Jovetic Heading To Arsenal
Italian agent Guido Di Domenico claims that Fiorentina striker Stefan Jovetic has turned down a move to Juventus in favour of a switch to Arsenal this summer.
Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, have Arsenal already agreed a deal to sign Stefan Jovetic?
Some interesting news regarding the future of Stefan Joveitc with Italian agent Guido Di Domenico claiming that the Fiorentina striker is heading to Arsenal this summer, according to the Metro.
The report claims Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to add to his strike-force this summer and has made the Montenegro hitman his number one transfer target as he tries to build a team capable of challenging for trophies once again.
It seems the Frenchman could get his man with FIFA agent Di Domenico claiming Jovetic has turned down a move to Italian champions Juventus in favour of a switch to north London, suggesting the 23-year-old is ‘fascinated’ by the project at the Emirates:
‘Jovetic was among the possible options for Juventus, but my information is that the boy has already given the go ahead to move to Arsenal,’
‘He seems fascinated by their project.’ Di Domenico is quoted as saying by the Metro.
The news comes just days after the player himself fuelled speculation over a move to Arsenal after revealing he has an ‘affinity’ with the club. Jovetic told the Sun:
“I’ve heard about Arsenal’s interest. It’s a big pleasure for me to be on the radar of such a big club. I am happy about that.
“I’ve always had an affinity with Arsenal. It’s a major club with a big tradition, one of the biggest in Europe.”
So it appears Arsenal could land one of the most exciting young forwards in Europe this summer. Personally, I think Jovetic would be a great signing and would offer us something different up front. He’s not your typical ‘fox-in-the-box’ finisher, although he’s averaged a goal every other game in Serie A over the past two seasons, but I’d see him being heavily involved in the build-up play as well.
Let’s see how this one progresses as we approach the opening of the summer transfer window but I’d love to see Jovetic come to the Emirates this summer.
