Suarez Wants ‘Wish’ Granted As He Hints At Real Madrid Or Barcelona Move
Luis Suarez has hinted at leaving Liverpool this summer saying they need to listen to his wishes and named Real Madrid or Barcelona as potential destinations.
With the summer transfer window set to open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Luis Suarez once again hints at leaving Liverpool.
Luis Suarez has once again hinted at leaving Liverpool this summer saying the club needs to listen to his wishes and named Real Madrid and Barcelona as potential destinations, according to the Daily Mail.
The Uruguayan hitman has seen his future thrown into doubt in recent months after a hugely controversial campaign last season that saw him banned by the FA for 10 games for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic with this incident coming just 12 months after being slapped with an 8 game ban for making racists remarks towards Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.
Suarez has previously been outspoken about his unhappiness at the treatment he’s received in England and the 26-year-old has once again aired his concerns and claims Liverpool should listen to his wishes and allow him to leave if he wants to before hinting at Real Madrid or Barcelona as being potential destinations.
‘First I have a contract with the club, but if one day I want to sign (for another club), Liverpool will hear the offer, as it does with other players.
‘They must agree with other teams, but the wish of the player, in this case mine, is important. If you need a change, you should listen to the player.
‘Every player aspires (to be the best) and if you ask a child of eight years they would say one day they would go to Real Madrid or Barcelona.’ Suarez is quoted as saying by the Mail
However, Liverpool have stuck by Suarez through thick and thin with the fans always supportive of him, and this is something the striker says he will never forget.
‘The love I have for Liverpool I will never forget, I love the city, the club and the people and everyone is welcome. All I ask is for respect for all the things that have been said.’ he continued.
It’s certainly been a difficult few months for the South American and it seems like he may have had enough. I don’t think he’ll push too hard in public for a move out of respect for the fans but I do feel he is ready to move on this summer and will make his feelings clear to the club in private, if he hasn’t already done so. Will Liverpool grant him his wish? It’s difficult to say but they can be sure of recouping a sizable fee if they do decide to sell.
