Liverpool & Tottenham In Talks With Danish Attacker?
The agent of long-term Liverpool and Spurs target Chrstian Eriksen has revealed he’s constantly in touch with a number of clubs regarding a possible transfer.
With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, are Liverpool and Tottenham in talks to sign Christian Eriksen?
The agent of long-term Liverpool and Tottenham target, Chrstian Eriksen, has revealed he’s constantly in touch with a number of clubs regarding a possible transfer, according to Sky Sports News.
The 21-year-old has spent his entire professional career at Ajax and has become one of Europe’s most in-demand play-makers in recent years following a string of impressive displays. After breaking into the first team aged just 17, Eriksen has become a key player for the Dutch giants and his 10 goals in 33 games helped them to the Eredivisie title last season.
However, with just 12 months left to run on his current contract and no signs of an extension being signed, Eriksen has been tipped for a move away this summer.
Sky Sports claim that his impressive form has attracted interest from England with Liverpool and Tottenham said to be keen on luring him to the Premier League, and the £15m-rated attacker’s agent, Martin Schoots, has revealed that he’s regularly in touch with ‘certain clubs’ about his clients future.
“We are still keeping in touch with certain clubs.
“That will always be the case with a player like Christian.
“At this point, it is hard to tell if it will end up with a transfer.” Schoots is quoted as saying by Sky Sports
Liverpool have been busy in the early months of the transfer window but received a blow when they missed out on the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan – who joined Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday – so Brendan Rodgers may now switch his attention to Eriksen, while Tottenham also missed out on the signature of David Villa this week so they too could be interested in bringing the Danish international to the Premiership.
