The draw for the group stages of the 2013/14 Champions League has been conducted on Thursday afternoon and it’s once again thrown up some intriguing groups.
Arsenal were first out and have been handed a nightmare group, being paired with Marseille, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli in group F. The Gunners will do well to make it through to the knockout stages after being drawn with two of the hardest teams from pots 3 and 4.
Manchester United have also been given a relatively tough task with David Moyes men facing Shakhtar Donetsk, Bayer Leverkusen and Real Sociedad in group A.
2012 winners Chelsea are in group E along with Schalke, FC Basel and Steaua Bucharest so Jose Mourinho should be delighted with the draw, while Manchester City have been paired with champions Bayern Munich, CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plzen and should be confident of making it out this year.
