Referees Announced For Premiership Games: Find Out Who’ll Be In Charge Of Your Team
The referees have been announced for next weekends Premier League fixtures. Find out who’ll be officiating your teams game here next week here on Football Talk
We’ve just had another enthralling weekend of Premier League action that was once again not without it’s controversies and the spotlight being placed firmly on the referee’s and their decisions.
Arsenal remain top of the league thanks to a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace but they were forced to see-out the remaining half hour with 10-men after referee Chris Foy controversially sent off Mikel Arteta after he was adjudged to have brought down Marouane Chamakh near the half way line. Was he the last man? Was Arteta’s denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity? Foy obviously thought so.
Tottenham kept in touch with their north London rivals after a 1-0 win over Hull City on Sunday but the winning goal came in controversial circumstances when referee Michael Oliver awarded a penalty to the home side just 10 minutes from time when Elmohamady was harshly pulled up for handling in the area.
These are just two examples of the refereeing decisions that have had us all talking down the pub this weekend, so it’s no surprise fans are keen to know who’ll be officiating their teams games for upcoming fixtures.
