Referees Announced For Weekend Fixtures: Find Out Who’ll Be In Charge Of Your Team
Fans are keen to learn who’ll be officiating their teams upcoming games. Here’s a run-through of which referee has been appointed for this weekend’s big games:
We’ve just had another exhilarating weekend of Premier League action where once again the spot light was on the man in charge.
The big talking point from the weekend’s fixtures was the situation surrounding Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. The Frenchman was knocked unconscious after colliding with Romelu Lukaku’s knee during a 0-0 draw on Sunday and despite receiving treatment for several minutes, he carried on to complete the 90 minutes.
Many have criticised Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas and the clubs medical team for letting their man stay on the pitch, but referee Kevin Friend has also come under some scrutiny with some feeling he should have insisted the keeper was substituted.
We also saw Manchester United beat Fulham 3-1 on Saturday but Martin Jol pointed the finger at referee Lee Probert and his assistants due to some questionable offside calls going in the champions favour.
With so much emphasis being placed on the man in the middle these days it’s no wonder fans are keen to learn who’ll be officiating their teams upcoming games. Here’s a run-through of which referee has been appointed for this weekend’s big games:
