Liverpool entertain Norwich City at Anfield tonight looking to get their title challenge back on track.
The Reds slumped to a 3-1 defeat to Hull on Sunday, making it just one win in their previous four league games.
This poor run of form has seen the Merseysiders slip down to fourth in the Premier League table – seven points off leaders Arsenal – so they will be hoping to bounce back with a win this evening and should be confident of doing so having won five of their six league games at Anfield this season.
Brendan Rodgers men also boast an impressive recent record against Norwich, winning seven of the last eight meetings, and put 10 past the Canaries last season.
The visitors may have secured a vital 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, but they are struggling to pick up points on the road this season, losing five of their six away games so far, so Chris Hughton will be hoping to halt this run tonight.
Team News
Liverpool will have to continue to cope without the services of striker Daniel Sturridge – who is out for up to eight weeks with an ankle injury.
Playmaker Philippe Coutinho is expected to start after he was only fit enough to be named among the subs on Sunday. The Brazilian came on as a second-half substitute and came through the game unscathed so is likely to be restored to the starting eleven this evening.
Rodgers could shuffle his defence with Daniel Agger being recalled in place of Kolo Toure, but Jon Flanagan could once again start at left-back in the continued absence of Jose Enrique.
Raheem Sterling was disappointing last time out so is likely to make way with Iago Aspas and Joe Allen among the players pushing for recalls.
Norwich will be without injured midfielders Anthony Pilkington and Robert Snodgrass for the trip to Anfield while striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel is also a doubt with a toe injury.
Goalkeeper Mark Bunn, and midfielders Alexander Tettey and Elliot Bennett are also still on the sidelines.
Likely Line-Ups
Key Man
Luis Suarez: The Uruguayan seems to enjoy playing against Norwich and has seven goals in his last three games against the East Anglia outfit. He will certainly be the man to keep an eye on tonight.
Predicted Score
Liverpool 3-0 Norwich: We can’t see past a home win in this game, and don’t be surprised if Suarez is among the goals once again.
