Nicklas Bendtner was handed a rare start and opened the scoring in the second minute with a fine header before Mesut Ozil sealed the win with a second just after half time. Here are my ratings from the game:
Szczesny 6.5/10
Quiet night for the Pole in goal but still made a couple of routine saves.
Jenkinson 7/10
In for the injured Sagna and set up the opening goal with an excellent delivery for Bendtner. Rarely troubled at the back.
Monreal 7.5/10
Very good display from the Spaniard. Always full of running and for himself into advanced position to link up with the attackers.
Mertesacker 7/10
Calm and Composed for most of the game. Given very little to do by the visitors.
Koscielny 7.5/10
A rock once again for the Gunners. Made several interceptions and kept the threat of Sagbo in check.
Flamini 6.5/10
Did the dirty work in the middle of the park but showed he can play a bit as well.
Ramsey 7.5/10
Another excellent performance from Rambo. He played his part in the opener with a fine ball out wide to Jenkinson and assisted Ozil for the second with a superb through-ball.
Rosicky 7/10
Outshone by some of his team-mates but still a productive display from the experienced Czech international. Always works hard and good use of the ball.
Cazorla 7/10
Like Rosicky, used the ball well and was always keen to try and make things happen.
Ozil 8/10
Superb all-round display from Ozil. Beautifully taken goal and was linking up with the likes of Ramsey, Cazorla and Rosicky well all night.
Bendtner 7/10
Justified his selection with a well-taken headed goal inside the first 2 minutes. He still looks a little rusty but there were encouraging signs that Bendtner could actually make a useful contribution to the team this season.
Subs:
Wilshere 6/10 – Looked pretty lively during his 15 minute cameo.
Walcott 6/10 – Replaced Bendtner up top and did his best to try and bring others into play, but his instinct seemed to be to move out wide.

Arsenal march on and now enter a crucial phase in their season as they take on Everton, Man City and Chelsea in quick succession.
