Arsenal’s Theo Walcott was sadly ruled out for at least six months today after rupturing the cruciate ligament in his left knee.
The winger picked up the injury in the final stages of Saturday’s 2-0 FA Cup win over north London rivals Tottenham and will now not only miss the remainder of Arsenal’s season, but he has also been ruled out of the 2014 World Cup.
Following the news, Aaron Ramsey and Nicklas Bendtner took to Twitter to offer their support to their team mate while defender Per Mertesacker used his official Facebook page to send his best wishes to the 24-year-old.
Here’s what the boys had to say:
I am so sorry to hear about theos injury. He will be a massiv lost for the rest of the season. I wish him a speedy recovery and best of luck
