Ozil, Podolski + Ramsey React On Twitter To Arsenal’s Win Over Liverpool
See what Ozil, Podolski, Ramsey and Bendtner had to say after Arsenal beat Liverpool 2-1 at the Emirates to book their place in the quarter finals of the FA Cup
Arsenal beat Liverpool 2-1 at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon to book their place in the quarter finals of the FA Cup.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain opened the scoring before setting up Lukas Podolski for the second just after half-time. Steven Gerrard pulled one back thanks to a penalty but the Gunners held on to secure a date with Everton in the last eight.
After the game, Podolski, Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Nicklas Bendtner all took to twitter to react to the victory. Youngster Yaya Sanogo made his full debut up front and Podolski posted a picture of some of the Arsenal players posing with the French striker in the dressing room while Ozil was pleased to have taken another step closer to Wembley.
Ramsey didn’t play as he’s still injured but he is looking forward to the quarter final against the Toffees, while Bendtner – who also didn’t feature in the game as he failed to make the squad – simply called it a ‘great victory’.
Here’s what the players had to say:
Only one goal out with my prediction! Great result and another exciting draw for us in the quarter finals.
