Chelsea’s Premier League title push took a huge hit on Saturday evening as Fabian Delph struck a second half winner to secure a vital three points for Aston Villa.

After a goalless first half, Willian was sent off for a second yellow card midway through the second period and Villa made the extra man count as Delph flicked home a superb winner from an Albrighton cross.

It was a tense finish to the game as Ramires was shown a red card in injury time for a poor challenge which prompted Jose Mourinho to be sent to the stands by the referee.

The loss see’s Chelsea stay six points clear of second placed Manchester City, but the Citizens have three games in hand, while Arsenal and Liverpool can also close the gap to four points with wins on Sunday.
