Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League after losing 3-1 to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the second leg on Wednesday night.
Heading into the game following a 1-1 draw in the first leg, United took a shock lead when Patrice Evra smashed home a thunderous strike early in the second half.
However, their lead lasted less than a minute as Mario Mandzukic bundled home for 1-1 before Thomas Muller put the defending champions ahead 2-1 with another close range finish shortly after. The game was then over when Robben’s deflected strike made it 4-2 on aggregate and Bayern secured their place in the last four.
