Liverpool took another huge step towards winning their first title in nearly 25 years as they beat Manchester City 3-2 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds raced into a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and Martin Skrtel before David Silva inspired a comeback from the visitors to draw level at 2-2. However, Philippe Coutinho pounced on a poor clearance from Vincent Kompany to fire home the winner in the 78th minute.
The win sees Liverpool move seven clear of Man City and remain two points ahead of Chelsea after the Blues beat Swansea 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium in Sunday’s other big game.
Several players took to Twitter to react to the Merseysiders latest win, with Raheem Sterling, Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho, Simon Mignolet, Mamadou Sakho and Glen Johnson all having their say and shared some dressing room photos as they celebrated the clubs 10th consecutive victory.
