Man Utd Handed Injury Boost Ahead Of Everton Trip
Man United have been handed an injury boost ahead of this weekend’s trip to Goodison Park to face Everton with Marouane Fellaini set to return to the squad
Manchester United have been handed an injury boost ahead of this weekend’s trip to Goodison Park to face Everton with Marouane Fellaini set to return to the squad, according to the Telegraph.
The Belgian international picked up a calf injury and was forced to miss last weeks defeat to Bayern Munich in the quarter finals of the Champions League, where United crashed out 4-2 on aggregate following a 3-1 second leg loss at the Allianz Arena.
However, the 26-year-old is now back in full training with the rest of the squad and will be available to face his former side when United travel to Merseyside on Sunday to face Everton.
Fellaini was David Moyes first signing at United but has endured a difficult first season at Old Trafford having made the move from the Toffees for £27.5m in the summer. The afro-haired midfielder missed a large portion of the season with a wrist injury and has failed to score in his 20 appearances for his new club so far.
United head into the game sitting seventh in the Premier League table but are now just three points adrift of Tottenham with a game in hand, so a positive result this weekend would put them well on course to qualifying for the Europa League.
