Laurent Koscielny opened the scoring when he was on hand to tap home following a Santi Cazorla free kick before Mesut Ozil finished off after Olivier Giroud had seen two attempts saved by Tim Krul.
Ozil then set up Olivier Giroud with an inch perfect cross with the Frenchman heading home the third to ensure Arsenal clinched the three points.
The win sees the north Londoners move four points clear of Everton and victory over West Brom next Sunday would secure a top four finish.
