Chelsea got off to an impressive start to the new Premier League season after coming from a goal down to beat Burnley 3-1 at Turf Moor last night.
The Blues fell behind early on but drew level immediately when summer signing Diego Costa fired home a loose ball for 1-1. Cesc Fabregas then set up Andre Schurrle with a sublime pass and the German made no mistake for 2-1 before the former Arsenal skipper set up a third for Branislav Ivanovic before the break.
The victory sees Chelsea move top of the league after the first round of fixtures and based on this performances, it’s going to be difficult for any of their title rivals to move them come May.
After the game, Fabregas and goal-scorer Schurrle were joined by Cesar Azpilicueta and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba – who made his second debut for the club as a second half substitute – in taking to Twitter to react to the win.
