Sanchez A Doubt For Besiktas + Wenger Offers Walcott Injury Update

Arsene Wenger has confirmed Theo Walcott is on course to return after the international break but Alexis Sanchez is a slight doubt to face Besiktas tomorrow.
Arsenal face the Turkish outfit at the Emirates in the second leg of our Champions League play off and reports claim that coaching staff are sweating over the fitness of Sanchez after he suffered a knock during our 2-2 draw with Everton on Saturday.
This could explain why the Chilean was surprisingly withdrawn at half time against the Toffees but the report suggests that while Arsene Wenger is keeping a close eye on him, the boss is confident the 25-year-old will be available.
Ahead of the game, Arsene Wenger has also given Arsenal.com an update on the fitness of Theo Walcott. The attacker has been working his way back to full fitness since rupturing his cruciate ligament against Tottenham back in January and returned to light training earlier this month.
Arsene has confirmed that Theo is on course to resume full training next week and could be in contention after next months international break. He told the clubs website:
on Theo Walcott…
Theo is doing well but we will respect the timing [of his return]. The timing is end of the month to join in again, after the break I think he will be in full training.
It will be a huge boost to have Walcott back in the squad as he’s been sorely missed over the past eight months, but the end is in sight and I can’t wait to see Theo in the same team as Sanchez, Ozil and Ramsey.
Fingers crossed Sanchez doesn’t have any issues with the knock he picked up at the weekend as without Olivier Giroud, we are lacking options up front already.
