[Tweets] Ozil Stays Quiet As Ramsey + Bellerin Apologise On Twitter For Poor Display
Mesut Ozil has had little to say but Aaron Ramsey and Hector Bellerin have been brave enough to take to Twitter and apologise for Arsenal’s display last night
It was a disappointing night for Arsenal as we kicked off our Champions League campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in Germany on Tuesday.
The whole team was well below their usual standard and although Danny Welbeck did have a couple of good chances to get on the score-sheet, in the end we were fortunate to come away with just a 2-0 loss.
After the game, only Aaron Ramsey and Hector Bellerin were brave enough to take to Twitter with Rambo admitting the performance wasn’t good enough and apologised to the fans before thanking them for their support.
Youngster Bellerin made his debut and although he too was ‘gutted’ about the result, he couldn’t hide his delight at making his first start for Arsenal in the Champions League, calling it a ‘dream come true’.
One player conspicuous by his absence was Mesut Ozil. Not only did he go missing during the game last night, but he’s failed to show his face on Twitter. The German is usually extremely active on the social networking site and almost always has something to say after the games. However, after another poor display, it seems he’s decided it best to keep quiet this time.
Gutted for the result and the performance, but on the other hand, a dream came true for me tonight! Thanks everyone for yor support! #AFC
