Arsenal take on Premier League leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, here is a predicted team by Gooner Mac:
Goalkeeper: There have been some fans calling for Wojciech Szczesny to be dropped after his sending off against Galatasaray. While it was a poor error from the Polish international I don’t see Arsene Wenger leaving him out in such an important game.
Defence: I don’t think we’ll see any changes from the back-four that started in midweek. Mathieu Debuchy is still out injured so I expect Calum Chambers to continue to deputise at right-back. Nacho Monreal could be back in the squad after overcoming a back complaint, but I doubt he’ll replace Kieran Gibbs if he is passed fit.
Midfield: Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey remain on the sidelines so Wenger has a decision to make in midfield. Santi Cazorla played very well in a central role in midweek but I don’t see Wenger keeping him their away at Chelsea. Therefore, Jack Wilshere should come back in alongside Mathieu Flamini with Cazorla possibly moving to the left.
Attack: With Cazorla on the left that would see Alexis Sanchez move back over to the right wing with Alex Oxlaade-Chamberlain unfortunate to drop out. Mesut Ozil enjoyed another fine game in the middle against the Turks so it would be disappointing to see move from that role behind the in-form Danny Welbeck – who hit a superb hat-trick on Wednesday night.
Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:
What do you think of the team? What side would you put out?
