Chelsea restored their five point cushion at the top of the Premier League with a 2-1 win away at Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues opened the scoring early in the first half when Oscar curled home a stunning free-kick for 1-0 before Cesar Azpilicueta was sent off for a studs up challenge on Mile Jedinak just before half time.
Just two minutes later Palace were also reduced to 10-men when Damien Delaney was sent off for a second bookable offence and Chelsea made them pay when Cesc Fabregas finished off a fantastic team goal to make it 2-0.
Palace did grab a late goal back when Campbell tapped home from close range following good work from Zaha but Chelsea held on to seal the three points and ensure they stay clear of Manchester City who had earlier beaten Spurs 4-1.
After the game goalscorers Cesc Fabregas and Oscar were joined by Andre Schurrle, Thibaut Courtois and Filipe Luis in taking to Twitter to celebrate another important victory in what’s been an impressive start to the season for Chelsea.
