West Brom vs Man Utd Preview, Team News, Likely Line-Ups, Key Man & Predicted Score

Manchester United will get back to Premier League action when they take on West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns this evening.

The former champions will be hoping to make it three wins in a row following successive 2-1 victories over West Ham and Everton before the international break.

Louis van Gaal’s men haven’t tasted defeat since losing 5-3 to Leicester last month and another win tonight will see them move back in to the top four.

However, United’s away form has been poor of late with no win’s in any of their previous five games away from Old Trafford so van Gaal will be desperate to put that right tonight.

The Red Devils will also face a West Brom side that have a good home record this season having lost just one of their five games at the Hawthorns so far in all competitions.

The Baggies head into the game off the back of a 2-1 loss to Liverpool two weeks ago but that defeat came after successive wins over Burnley and Tottenham so Alan Irvine will be keen to get back on track tonight.

United will continue to be without captain Wayne Rooney as he serves the second of his three-game ban following his sending off against West Ham.

Adnan Januzaj is pushing for a start but Juan Mata is likely to keep his place behind Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao.

Phil Jones is back in contention after recovering from a hamstring injury, but Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans remain out.

Ander Herrera is training again following a rib injury but van Gaal may opt to give him more time to recover ahead of the Chelsea clash next weekend.

West Brom will hand a late fitness test to skipper Chris Brunt after he suffered a minor groin injury on international duty with Northern Ireland.

Striker Victor Anichebe is set to miss out with a hernia problem.

Angel Di Maria: The Argentine has been superb following his summer move from Real Madrid and he’s shown his quality in the final third with three goals and three assists to his name already. He’ll certainly be one that West Brom will need to keep a close eye on.
