[Tweets] Ramsey, Ozil, Podolski + More React On Twitter To Dramatic Arsenal Win
Read what Ozil, Ramsey, Martinez, Podolski, Campbell and Debuchy had to say on Twitter after Arsenal’s dramatic 2-1 win over Anderlecht on Wednesday night.
Arsenal left Belgium with all three points last night with two late goals securing a vital 2-1 win over Anderlecht in the Champions League.
The hosts took a shock lead in the 71st minute after some awful defending allowed Najar to head home but just when an embarrassing loss looked on the cards, Kieran Gibbs and Lukas Podolski scored in stoppage time to rescue victory from the jaws of defeat.
Following the game, several players have taken to social networking site Twitter to express their thoughts on a dramatic European night.
Aaron Ramsey made his first start since late September and the Welshman was pleased to get 90 minutes under his belt. Emiliano Martinez was ‘buzzing’ after making his European debut while Lukas Podolski took the time to thank the fans for always supporting him.
Joel Campbell also posted a message on Twitter along with injured stars Mesut Ozil and Mathieu Debuchy, who celebrated our last gasp win.
Here is what the players had to say:
Big win – We fight until the end!! Thanks to all the fans who support & believe in me!! #Poldi #aha #AFC #UCL #Fans pic.twitter.com/PqDz1ENGiX
