Arsenal attacker Mesut Ozil has hinted he’s on course to make a swift return from injury in a message he posted on his official Facebook page tonight.
The 26-year-old has been on the sidelines since suffering ligament damage to his left knee during our 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier this month.
The German international was initially expected to be out for at least three months which would mean a return around the New Year, but it seems he could be set for a quick return to action.
Having already posted a photo of him working on his leg muscles in the gym last week, Ozil has now taken to Facebook once again to upload a photo of him with one of his medical team with a message that hints his recovery is going well and he could be set for a ‘quick recovery’.
Let’s hope this is the case as I think it’s safe to say we’ve certainly missed his creativity in the final third since he’s been out. Ozil was heavily criticised for some of his displays this season but I really think with Theo Walcott back and Alexis Sanchez in great form, we’ll see the best of Mesut once he’s back in the team.
