Arsenal secured their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League with a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night thanks to goals from Yaya Sanogo and Alexis Sanchez.
Here are my ratings:
Martinez 7/10 | An impressive shift from the youngster. Made two or three decent stops.
Chambers 7/10 | Was adventurous in the early stages and was solid at the back throughout.
Mertesacker 7/10 | For more comfortable at the back as the midfield offered more protection to the back four.
Monreal 7.5/10 | Impressive shift from the Spaniard. Positionally sound and kept Immobile quiet.
Gibbs 7/10 | A very disciplined display. Judged when to attack and when to hold his position to perfection.
Arteta 7/10 | Kept things ticking over in midfield and sat in front of the back four to offer protection.
Ramsey 6.5/10 | Still not back to his best but this was a more encouraging display.
Oxlade-Chamberlain 8/10 | Another superb outing from the Ox. Always keen to run at the defence and went close to scoring when he smashed the bar with a stunning effort.
Cazorla 8/10 | His best display of the season. Picked up two assists and was excellent on the ball all evening.
Alexis 8/10 | Another tireless performance capped with a sensational goal. What a player.
Sanogo 7/10 | A surprise starter and broke his duck with an early goal. He held the ball up well and his link-up play was also good. Unfortunately he picked up a hamstring strain.
Subs:
Flamini 6/10 | Didn’t put a foot wrong and didn’t get booked!
Podolski N/A | Only on for 10 minutes.
Campbell N/A | On for 1 minute.

It was arguably our most complete performance of the season so hopefully we can build from here and put a run together starting away at West Brom on Saturday.
