[Tweets] Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla & More: Players React On Twitter To Dortmund Win
Santi Cazorla, Emiliano Martinez, Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Lukas Podolski all celebrated Arsenal’s win over Borussia Dortmund on Twitter. See what they said
Goals from Yaya Sanogo and Alexis Sanchez sealed Arsenal a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund last night to secure our place in the knockout phase of the Champions League.
We opened the scoring early on when Yaya Sanogo combined well with Santi Cazorla before calmly slotting home for 1-0 and Alexis Sanchez made it 2-0 in the 57th minute with a stunning 25-yard effort to seal an impressive victory.
The win sees us close the gap on Dortmund to two points meaning we need to beat Galatasaray away in our final game and hope Anderlecht can do us a favour away in Germany to stand a chance of topping the group.
After the match, several players have taken to Twitter to react to the win with Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Lukas Podolski all celebrating Arsenal reaching the last 16 in Europe.
Young goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez also took to the social networking site to thank the fans for their support and praise the ‘well deserved’ win and clean sheet, while Santi Cazorla wished Mikel Arteta a speedy recovery after he picked up a calf injury last night.
Here’s what the players had to say:
