[Tweets & Photos] Walcott, Ozil, Koscielny & More: Players Celebrate Arsenal Win
Laurent Koscielny, Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott were among the players to celebrate online after Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Brighton on Sunday. See what they said:
Arsenal booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup with a hard fought 3-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon.
Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil fired Arsenal into a 2-0 half time lead but Brighton reduced the deficit early in the second half before Thomas Rosicky restored the two-goal advantage with a stunning volley.
The hosts made it a nervy final 15 minutes after making it 3-2 but we managed to hold on and secure our name in tonight’s fifth round draw.
After the game, several players have taken to Twitter to react to the win with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny, Hector Bellerin, Chuba Akpom, Calum Chambers, Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Damien Martinez all expressing their delight at progressing in the competition.
Theo Walcott – who marked only his second start in over a year with a well-taken goal – also posted a photo on Instagram with a message saying it’s ‘great to be in the next round’.
