[Tweet] Mesut Ozil Welcomes Gabriel Paulista To Arsenal

German playmaker Mesut Ozil has taken to Twitter to welcome Gabriel Paulista to Arsenal following his move from Villarreal.

Following weeks of speculation, Gabriel travelled to London on Monday to undergo his medical after Villarreal had confirmed a deal had been agreed with Arsenal for his signature.

After signing a contract extension with Arsenal, Joel Campbell was sent on loan to Spain as part of the deal and we then announced on Wednesday that Gabriel had joined the club on a long-term contract.

No fee was disclosed but it’s reported to be in the region of £11.2m, and the 24-year-old is in contention to make his debut against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Mesut Ozil has now taken to Twitter to welcome Gabriel to the club, while the German playmaker also wished Joel Campbell well during his loan at Villarreal.

I’m sure all the players will make Gabriel feel welcome and hopefully that will help him settle quickly, as he has all the attributes needed to become a top player for the club.
