[Tweets & Photos] De Gea, Blind & Rojo React Online To ‘Difficult’ West Ham Draw
David De Gea and Marcos Rojo have taken to social media to react to Manchester United’s ‘difficult’ 1-1 draw against West Ham at Upton Park this afternoon.
Manchester United needed a last minute equaliser to rescue a 1-1 draw against West Ham at Upton Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Hammers took a deserved lead just after half time when Cheikhou Kouyate produced a lovely piece of skill before firing past David de Gea in the 49th minute.
However, with just over a minute left of injury time, Daley Blind fired home the equaliser to salvage a vital point for the 20-time Premier League champions.
After the game, goalkeeper David De Gea took to Twitter to post a photo of him making one of several saves he was forced to make throughout the ninety minutes with a message saying that United never give up and their fighting spirit got them a point at a ‘difficult pitch’.
Defender Marcos Rojo also took to social media as he uploaded a picture to his personal Instagram account with a message simply saying ‘difficult game’, while goal-scorer Daley Blind said he was pleased to get his goal but was gutted not to collect all three points.
The result leaves United sitting fourth in the Premier League table – a point behind Southampton – but just three points now separates third from sixth, so the race for Champions League qualification looks like it’s going right down to the wire this season.
