Man Utd will play host to Tottenham at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-ups, prediction and betting tips.

Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from their FA Cup loss when they take on Tottenham at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

United crashed out of the FA Cup on Monday night after a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford meaning that Louis van Gaal’s side have just one target left this season; to finish in the top four.

The Red Devils currently sit fourth in the table – four points behind Arsenal – but are just two points clear of Liverpool with Spurs a further point adrift so tomorrow’s game will have a huge say on both clubs hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.

The visitors come into the game off the back of consecutive victories following their defeat to Chelsea in the Capital One Cup final and they’ve won on their last two visits to Old Trafford, so Mauricio Pochettino’s men may be quietly confident of coming away with a positive result tomorrow.

Team news

United will once again have to make do without Robin van Persie as the striker continues to nurse an ankle injury that he suffered last month.

Defender Marcos Rojo is also a doubt after picking up a knock during last weeks 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup.

Jonny Evans continues his suspension and he’s joined on the sidelines by Angel Di Maria as he serves his one-match ban following his dismissal against the Gunners.

Tottenham have a fully-fit squad to choose form so Pochettino has decisions to make all over the pitch.

Moussa Dembele could come in to the side to offer a little bit more protection in midfield but the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Younes Kaboul and Etienne Capoue are all expected to miss out after being overlooked in recent weeks.

Betting Tips

Man Utd are the favourites to win the game at odds of 10/11 but Football-Talk can get you enhanced odds of 4/1 for a Utd win or 10/1 for a Spurs win, plus you can get money back if you lose. However, I’m going for a 2-2 draw which is on offer at odds of 12/1 while I also like the look of Harry Kane opening the scoring at 11/2. If we combine those bets in a scorecast then we get very tempting odds of 65/1. Surely that’s got to be worth a couple of quid!?
