[Video Highlights] Chelsea 1-1 PSG [6-5]: Courtois The Hero As Blues Win Shoot-Out

Thibout Courtois was the hero as Chelsea beat Paris Saint-Germain 6-5 in a penalty shoot-out after a highly entertaining 1-1 draw in Charlotte last night.

PSG started the brighter of the two sides and opened the scoring when Zlatan Ibrahimovic fired home the rebound after Blaise Matuidi’s shot came back off the post in the 25th minute.

Chelsea had to wait until the second half to get back on level terms when Victor Moses tapped home from a superb Cesc Fabregas pass in the 65th minute.

Neither side could find a winner in normal time so it went to a penalty shoot-out and Courtois emerged as the hero as he saved two penalties and scored the winner as the Blues won 6-5.

Chelsea’s final pre-season game comes against European Champions Barcelona on Wednesday before the squad fly back to prepare for next weekend’s Community Shield against Arsenal.
