[Tweets & Photos] Rooney, De Gea & More: Players React Online After Man Utd Held
David De Gea and Wayne Rooney are among the players who’ve been reacting online after Manchester United drew 1-1 with CSKA Moscow in the Champions League
Manchester United are back in England after being held to a 1-1 draw by CSKA Moscow in the Champions League last night.
The Russian’s took an early lead when Anthony Martial gave away a penalty after handling in the area. David De Gea made a superb stop to deny Roman Eremenko from the resulting spot kick but striker Seydou Doumbia tapped home the rebound for 1-0.
However, Martial made up for his earlier mistake to head home a second half equaliser to rescue a point for the Red Devils. The result leaves United second in Group B – two points adrift of leaders Woflsburg – but with two home games to come they are in excellent shape to qualify for the knockout stages.
After the game, some of the players have taken to social media sites to react to the result with De Gea, Chris Smalling, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Marouane Fellaini all posting messages to their followers on Twitter.
Skipper Wayne Rooney has also taken to his Facebook page to express his disappointment at not bringing home the three points but says it’s now time to focus on this weekend’s huge Manchester derby.
Check out what the boys have had to say:

Gutted not to come away with the win last night but still an important point in a tough game. Time to focus on the big game against City this weekend ⚽️
