Mourinho Makes 8 Changes In 4-2-3-1: Predicted Man Utd XI To Face Leicester

Manchester United will be looking to build on their EFL Cup victory over Northampton Town on Wednesday by returning to winning ways in the Premier League.  Jose Mourinho could make up to eight changes to the side that started at Sixfields midweek.  Here is the side I think the Special One will pick for the game:

Goalkeeper: Sergio Romero was only beaten by a penalty in his first start of the season in the EFL Cup but David de Gea will return between the sticks for this one.

Defence: Luke Shaw is out injured so I think we’ll see Daley Blind move out to the left-back role where Marcos Rojo started midweek whilst Antonio Valencia will start on the right after getting a much-needed rest against Northampton.

Eric Bailly was given his break midweek too and will make his return on Saturday.  Partnering him will be Chris Smalling should Blind indeed play a full-back role.

Midfield: Marouane Fellaini made an appearance from the substitutes’ bench during the week but should return to partner Paul Pogba in front of the defence once again.  Ander Herrera was one of the few starters in that game whom I think will maintain him place this weekend.  The Spaniard could replace captain Wayne Rooney who had another disappointing performance last time out.

Attack: Antony Martial is a doubt so Marcus Rashford should start on the left wing.  The teenager came off the bench to score midweek.  He has impressed in his brief appearances under Mourinho.  With Henrikh Mkhitaryan injured Juan Mata should start on the right ahead of Jesse Lingard and Ashley Young.  Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to the starting lineup to take his place up front.

Here is how we think United will line-up:
