Everton vs Man Utd Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Predicted Score
Man Utd take on Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.
Manchester United will be looking to close in on the top four in the Premier League table when they take on Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils have endured a woeful start to the season in the league with last weekend’s frustrating 1-1 draw at home to West Ham leaving them sitting seventh in the table and ten points adrift of fourth place.
Jose Mourinho’s side did produce a fine performance in midweek to beat the Hammers 4-1 in the quarter finals of the EFL Cup but they need to transfer that kind of form to the Premier League or they’ll be out of the running for the Champions League places before Christmas.
Everton have also been hugely inconsistent this season as after an encouraging start, they’ve won just one of their last nine games in all competitions so Ronald Koeman will be looking to get their campaign back on track tomorrow.
Team news
United will be without Wayne Rooney as the skipper will serve a one-game ban after picking up his fifth booking of the season last weekend but Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini return after serving their suspensions in midweek.
Luke Shaw is expected to miss the trip to Merseyside after being forced off against West Ham with a knock so he’ll be on the sidelines along with Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling.
Everton have virtually a fully-fit squad to choose form with Muhamed Besic the only absentee with the midfielder continuing to recover from a serious knee injury sustained in pre-season.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Everton 1-2 Man Utd: The hosts usually reserve their best home form for when the big boys come to town so I’m not expecting this to be an easy game for United. However, if Mourinho sticks with the majority of the side that played so well in midweek then I can see the Red Devils edging this one.
