Fulham vs Tottenham Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Predicted Score
Tottenham take on Fulham in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.
Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to book their place in the quarter finals of the FA Cup when they take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs need to get back to winning ways as they come in to the game off the back of consecutive away defeats having seen their Premier League challenge dented with a 2-0 loss at Liverpool before losing the first leg of their Europa League tie at AAA Gent on Thursday night.
The north Londoners were made to work in the previous round of the FA Cup too as they needed two late goals to secure a 3-2 win over Wycombe so Mauricio Pochettino will be looking for an improved performance tomorrow.
However, they face a Fulham side who’ve won four of their last five games and booked their place in the fifth round of the cup with a comprehensive win over Hull City.
Team news
Tottenham will hand a late fitness test to Jan Vertonghen after he returned to training on Friday having recovered from an ankle injury but I think a place on the bench is the best he can hope for after a month out.
Danny Rose is certain to miss out as he continues to nurse a knee injury while Erik Lamela is also still working his way back to full fitness from a serious hip problem that’s kept him out for over three months.
Harry Kane is a doubt after suffering a minor knee injury on Thursday and I doubt Pochettino will risk his star striker so Vincent Janssen could be handed a rare start up front.
Michel Vorm, Kieran Trippier and Kevin Wimmer are pushing for starts while Christian Eriksen and Heung-min Son could get recalls after being named on the bench last time out.
As for Fulham, Tomas Kalas is available for selection but Ryan Fredericks is suspended while Marcus Bettinelli will start in goal for the Championship side.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Fulham 1-2 Tottenham: Spurs have been extremely disappointing in their last two games and Pochettino will be mindful that another poor display tomorrow could see their season unravel. I think we’ll see a competitive game with Fulham pushing their London rivals all the way but I’m backing Spurs to edge it 2-1.
