Man Utd vs Swansea: Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction
Man Utd take on Swansea at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.
Manchester United will be looking to continue their push for the top four when they take on Swansea at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Thursday’s 0-0 draw with Manchester City has kept Champions League qualification in United’s hands as they sit just two points behind third-placed Liverpool with a game in hand.
The stalemate at the Etihad extended United’s unbeaten league run to 24 league games and Jose Mourinho will set a new club record if they can avoid defeat against the Swansea tomorrow.
They should be confident of doing so as the Welsh outfit head to Old Trafford sitting in the bottom three but they can move out of the relegation zone with a win this weekend.
Team News
United have a mounting injury crisis as Paul Pogba is still nursing a muscle problem while Timothy Fosu-Mensah has been ruled out with a shoulder injury.
Juan Mata is still recovering from groin surgery, Chris Smalling is out with a knee injury while Phil Jones is still nursing a foot problem so they remains on the sidelines along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo.
Marouane Fellaini starts a three-game suspension after being dismissed following a headbutt on Sergio Aguero in midweek.
As for Swansea, they will hand a late fitness test to Martin Olsson while Leroy Fer and Jack Cork are also expected to return.
However, Wayne Routledge, Angel Rangel and Nathan Dyer remain out.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Man Utd 2-0 Swansea: United have been grinding out results in recent weeks and you’ve got to give it to Mourinho as he’s navigating a tough period extremely well. Despite their injury and suspension problems, United can still field a strong side and I think they’ll ease to a 2-0 win tomorrow.
