Tottenham Team News: Pochettino Confirms Key Man Won’t Be Fit To Face Man Utd
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that a key man won’t be fit for Tottenham’s clash with Manchester United at White Hart Lane on Sunday
Tottenham Hotspur will hope to still have a chance at winning the Premier League title when they host Manchester United at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
Ahead of the game, Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s offered a team news and injury update.
The Spurs boss provided the latest on the fitness of Danny Rose and confirmed that the England international is still not considered available for selection just yet.
Rose has been out since sustaining knee ligament damage against Sunderland at the end of January and stepped-up his rehabilitation by returning to full training earlier this week.
However, Pochettino says the left-back is continuing to be monitored and is not yet fit enough to return to the match-day squad against United this weekend.
Rose’s continued absence means Ben Davies is expected to continue to fill-in on the left side against Jose Mourinho’s men this weekend. Here is what Pochettino told the clubs Twitter:

Otherwise, the Spurs squad is in good health as they didn’t suffer any fresh injury problems following the hugely disappointing 1-0 defeat at West Ham a week ago.
Harry Winks continues his recovery from an ankle ligament injury which ended his season while Erik Lamela is also working his way back to full fitness following a troublesome hip problem.
Spurs head in to the United game knowing Chelsea could already have wrapped up the title if they beat West Bromwich Albion tonight but Pochettino’s men will still be looking for a positive result to secure second place in the table.
