Alexis Sanchez has travelled with his new Manchester United team mates as a 19-man squad flew-out ahead of their FA Cup clash with Yeovil tonight.
Sanchez completed his move to Old Trafford from Arsenal earlier this week with Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading to the Emirates in the opposite direction as part of a straight swap deal.
Jose Mourinho confirmed the Chilean international would be in the squad for tonight’s game and Sanchez has been photographed boarding the plane that left Manchester airport this morning.
The United boss has vowed to field a ‘strong team’ but it remains to be seen whether Sanchez will start or if he’ll be used from the bench and saved for their huge Premier League clash with Spurs on Wednesday.
David De Gea, Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial were not spotted by photographers at the airport this morning so it looks like they’ve been given the night off.
Youngster Angel Gomes was among the travelling party so the 17-year-old will be hoping to feature while Sergio Romero is expected to start in goal in De Gea’s absence.
The likes of Nemanja Matic, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo, Romelu Lukaku, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford have all travelled while Michael Carrick and Matteo Darmian were also among the 19-man squad that flew-out to Yeovil.
Here is the confirmed squad members, as per Manchester Evening News:
Sergio Romero, Joel Pereira, Kieran O’Hara, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo, Victor Lindelof, Ashley Young, Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian, Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic, Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera, Angel Gomes, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Alexis Sanchez, Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku
