Man Utd Team News: Mourinho Confirms Major Boost + Offers Update On Pogba
Jose Mourinho has confirmed a major injury boost ahead of Man Utd’s clash with Sevilla plus he’s given an update on Paul Pogba’s fitness.
Manchester United will be looking to book their place in the quarter finals of the Champions League when they take on Sevilla at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
Jose Mourinho has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s provided a team news and injury update ahead of the game.
The United boss confirmed that Paul Pogba was able to take part in some of today’s training session after the media had left but it’s not yet clear if the midfielder will be available tomorrow.
Pogba missed Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford after picking up a leg injury during the closing stages of training on Friday but it remains to be seen if he’ll face Sevilla.
Mourinho also confirmed that Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo remain out while Ander Herrera is still working his way back to fitness after aggravating a hamstring injury.
Phil Jones is also still unavailable and Mourinho says the centre-back won’t be ready for action before the international break so it looks like he’ll miss the upcoming England friendlies.
However, there was better news regarding the fitness of Anthony Martial as the French international returned to full training today and has been passed fit to take on Sevilla tomorrow night which will be a big boost for the Red Devils.

The only other injury concerns for United is Zlatan Ibrahimovic and it remains to be seen whether the Swede will be involved tomorrow after he was pictured taking part in training today having not featured since Boxing Day.
United head in to the second leg having drawn the first leg 0-0 in Spain so Mourinho will be confident of getting the job done on home soil to book their place in t he quarter finals of the Champions League.
