Man Utd Team News: Mourinho Confirms Quadruple Injury Boost Ahead Of Man City Trip
Jose Mourinho has confirmed a quadruple fitness boost ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Manchester City tomorrow.
Manchester United will be looking to delay Manchester City wrapping-up the title when they head to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.
Jose Mourinho has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and has provided a team news and injury update ahead of the game.
The Red Devils boss was pleased to confirm a quadruple boost with Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera all returning to fitness this week while Daley Blind has also returned to training.
Jones hasn’t featured for United in almost two months after picking up an injury during the 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United while Rojo hasn’t played for the Red Devils since the win over Huddersfield in early February.
Herrera was an unused substitute during the win over Swansea last weekend but he’s built-up his fitness this past week after recovering from a hamstring injury and the trio are now available for selection.
Blind may be a little short to be in contention tomorrow evening after only recently returning to training following an ankle injury but the Dutch international is no longer on the casualty list.
That means United have virtually a fully-fit squad to choose from with Sergio Romero the only absentee as the keeper is still a few weeks away from returning from a knee injury that he picked up while on international duty with Argentina.

United head to the Etihad knowing they need to avoid defeat to prevent City from wrapping-up the Premier League title while Mourinho’s men also need a positive result to boost their chances of finishing second.
