Tottenham Team News: Pochettino Confirms Duo Will Miss Man Utd FA Cup Semi-Final
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that he’ll be without two players for Tottenham’s FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester United on Saturday
Tottenham will be looking to book their place in the final of the FA Cup when they take on Manchester United at Wembley on Saturday evening.
Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s provided a team news and injury update ahead of the game.
The Spurs boss confirmed a blow with the news that Danny Rose will miss the FA Cup clash this weekend after failing to recover from a calf injury.
Rose has missed the last two games against Manchester City and Brighton after picking up the problem in training and the England international won’t be fit in time to face United.
It means Ben Davies is expected to once again line-up at left-back against the Red Devils at their adopted home on Saturday having been Pochettino’s first choice for most of the season.
Tottenham will also have to make-do without Harry Winks and Pochettino has confirmed the midfielder is still working his way back from a troublesome ankle injury.
Winks hasn’t been seen since Tottenham’s FA Cup win over Rochdale in late February after struggling to overcome his ankle problem and it remains to be seen whether he’ll be fit before the end of the season.
Otherwise, Spurs have a fully-fit squad to choose from and Pochettino is expected is recall Kieran Trippier, Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli after they were rested for the draw at Brighton on Tuesday night.
