Chelsea Team News: Sarri Confirms Double Injury Blow Ahead Of POAK Clash
Chelsea have been handed a double injury blow ahead of their Europa League clash with POAK Salonika at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.
Chelsea will be looking to guarantee top spot in Group L when they take on POAK Salonika in the Europa League at Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening.
Maurizio Sarri has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s provided a team news and injury update with the Blues boss confirming a double fitness blow ahead of the game.
The west Londoners will have to make-do without Eden Hazard tomorrow night as the Belgian international has been ruled out with an ankle injury that he picked up during the 3-1 defeat to Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday.
However, the positive news is Hazard’s injury isn’t thought to be serious and Sarri is confident the attacker will be able to return at the weekend and be in contention to face Fulham at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
Victor Moses would have been hoping to feature against POAK on Thursday evening, however, the out-of-favour winger has picked up a back injury and won’t be available to take on the Greek outfit.
Sarri has rotated his squad in the previous group stage games and the Blues boss has told reporters he plans to make 7-8 changes to the starting eleven that lost 3-1 at Tottenham tomorrow night.
Sarri says Victor Moses has a back problem so won't be able to play tomorrow. He says Eden Hazard's injury isn't serious and he should be able to play against Fulham on Sunday. #CFCvPAOK

Chelsea head in to the game tomorrow sitting six points clear of Vidi at the top of Group L so they just need to avoid defeat against third-placed POAK to secure top spot with a game to spare.
Sarri will give his key players a breather so the likes of Andreas Christensen, Gary Cahill, Davide Zappacosta, Emerson, Cesc Fabregas, Pedro and Olivier Giroud are expected to be recalled.
