Mauricio Pochettino has made wholesale changes from the side that got knocked out of the Carabao Cup in midweek as Hugo Lloris comes in to replace Paulo Gazzaniga in goal while Jab Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are called in defence with Davinson Sanchez dropping out of the squad.
Danny Rose also comes in for Ben Davies at left-back and Serge Aurier is recalled at right-back while Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele and Moussa Sissoko are back in midfield following their rest on Tuesday night. Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama drop to the bench.
Harry Kane and Hueng-min Son are recalled in attack and they are joined by Christian Eriksen with Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Dele Alli having to make do with places among the substitutes. Youngster Troy Parrott doesn’t make the Tottenham squad after making his full debut in midweek.
As for Southampton, Danny Ings is joined by Nathan Redmond in attack while James Ward-Prowse starts in midfield alongside Oriol Romeu.
