Mauricio Pochettino has made some changes from the sides that were thrashed 7-2 by Bayern Munich in midweek with Ben Davies replacing Danny Rose at left-back and Moussa Sissoko moving to right-back in place of the suspended Serge Aurier.
Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld keep their places in the middle of the Tottenham back four with Eric Dier recalled to start alongside Tanguy Ndombele in midfield. Harry Winks drops to the bench.
Erik Lamela comes in to the Spurs attack with Dele Alli making way. Hueng-min Son keeps his place after getting on the score-sheet against Bayern with Harry Kane once again leading to the line up front.
Juan Foyth is back on the Tottenham bench after recovering from injury and he joins Davinson Sanchez, Lucas Moura and Oliver Skipp among the subs this afternoon.
As for Brighton, young forward Aaron Connolly starts in attack along with Neil Maupay.
