Tottenham will be looking to get back to wining ways when they take on Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of the game the club have issued a team news and injury update on TottenhamHotspur.com this afternoon which includes the latest on the fitness of Erik Lamela, Jan Vertonghen and Hugo Lloris.

Lamela missed the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield last weekend due to a hamstring injury and Spurs have confirmed the Argentinean international will remain on the sidelines on Sunday as he continues to receive treatment.

Vertonghen was an unused substitute during the defeat to the Premier League leaders last time out and Tottenham will need to assess the centre-back ahead of the Everton game as he’s also nursing a hamstring problem.

Lloris is certain to miss the trip to Goodison Park as the French international goalkeeper isn’t due to be available again until the New Year as he continues to recover from a dislocated elbow.

Tottenham will be without at least three first team regulars as Danny Rose will miss the Everton game this weekend due to suspension with the left-back serving a one-game ban after accumulating five yellow cards this season.

Rose’s absence may see Ryan Sessegnon named in the Tottenham squad for the first time since arriving in the summer. The versatile left-sided player has recently recovered from a serious hamstring injury but is lacking match fitness so a place on the bench is the best he can hope for this weekend.

Tottenham head to Merseyside sitting 11th in the Premier League table having taken just one point from their last three league games so Pochettino will be desperate to come away with a win against Everton on Sunday.
