[VIDEO] Chicharito & Dos Santos Score In Mexico’s Win Over Cuba!
Before’s Mexico game vs Cuba, El Tri’s fans were silenced by the news that five Mexican players had been suspended for testing positive for a banned substance.
Usually news like that is detrimental to players’ morale and that might hinder their performances on the pitch. This was not Chicharito’s case, as United’s wonderkid scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist, in Mexico’s 5-0 win over Cuba, in Group A of the 2011 Gold Cup tournament. It was another marvellous El Tri display, despite the absence of the five suspended players.
In the 36th minute, Guardado crossed the ball into the penalty are and Chicharito headed the ball into the net. It was the wonderkid’s 4th goal in the tournament. Dos Santos scored a sublime goal in the 63rd minute, extending El Tri’s lead. In the 65th minute, United’s wonderkid provided an assist for De Nigris’s goal. 3 minutes later, Dos Santos scored his second and Mexico’s fourth thanks to another superb effort.
In the 76th minute, the boy from Guadalajara, Javier Hernandez scored Mexico’s fifth and final goal. Chicharito currently tops the goal scorer charts with 5 goals and is the main candidate for the tournament’s Golden Boot. Mexico are group leaders with 6 points, scoring 10 goals in just 2 games.
Dear fans, what do you think? Will Mexico win this year’s Gold Cup edition, without the five suspended players? Will Chicharito win the Golden Boot?
