TRANSFER NEWS: Tottenham Plan Move For Barca Target
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is set to rekindle his interest in Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.
The former United forward is now available after a move to the Nou Camp failed to materialise. Speaking to Sky Sports News, Redknapp said:
“I think Rossi is top drawer. He’s a clever player, he gets it into feet, holds the ball up and scores goals. He’s the Italian centre forward now.
“We tried to get him last year – I think the fee was around £18million. It looks cheap now.”
The North London outfit may have to pay double what they bid back in January with Barca preparing to pay £40million for the striker, but failed to secure the funds for the Italian.
