Torres Still Remembers How To Score!
Fernando Torres made his £50m move to Chelsea from Liverpool in January. Since swopping the red for the blue he has only found the back of the net once in the Premier League and once in a pre season friendly against Wycombe.
The Spanish striker has vowed that the new season will be a hit and will deliver the goods as expected by fans and club alike. The world cup winner made 18 appearances for Chelsea last season and has also failed to hit the target during the Blues tour of Asia so far. He hit the woodwork during their latest 4-0 hammering over Kitchee.
Torres has hit back at his critics by speaking out to reporters.
“I am 27 years old. Don’t worry. I don’t forget to score goals. I will score.”
“It’s going to be a big season. My form is okay, it’s time to be fit and ready. We’re trying to get into the best form. We have got big expectations and I can see the winning mentality we have.”
How many goals will Torres score in the new campaign? Will he finally justify Chelsea’s £50m splurge on him?
