Spurs Set To Launch Sensational Double Swoop On Barcelona
Tottenham are reportedly eyeing up moves for for Barcelona duo Martin Montoya and Marc Bartra.
Tottenham are reportedly eyeing up moves for two of Barcelona’s young starlet’s, Martin Montoya and Marc Bartra.
The Blaugrana outfit would be loathe to losing two of their upcoming stars, both of which have first-team experience with the Catalan giants, but with chances hard to come by, Montoya and Bartra may feel their respective futures are best served elsewhere.
Right-back Montoya’s contract expires at the end of the summer and a host of clubs, including Bayern Munich, Roma, Malaga and Valencia, are said to be interested in the 20-year-old, who has already been called up to the Spanish national team but finds himself behind Dani Alves in the pecking order.
Centre-back Bartra also faces stiff competition for a starting spot in the starting XI and despite clocking up two La Liga and two Copa Del Rey appearances so far, is struggling to force his way in to Pepe Guardiola’s first team plans on a regular basis.
Spurs are hoping that Bartra and Montoya would both be interested in moves to White Hart Lane, especially with former Barca youngsters Giovani Dos Santos and Cristian Cabellos currently plying their trade with the North London outfit, and reports suggest Harry Redknapp is lining up a stunning double swoop.
